A message from Al

Our company was founded by my father, Lawrence Giebrecht, and late mother, Margaret, in 1966. In the beginning, my dad made his way using pay phones, phone books and paper maps. His CB handle was ‘SuperSpud’ because he was transporting potatoes at that time. My dad decided to take up transporting produce across the country while my mom handled the administration side of things from back home. She pushed for transparent service from the beginning, always doing what we say we’re going to do.

Dad started this company as LG Trucking, hauling potatoes, apples and watermelons. Today we are LG Transport, hauling anything you can think of.Our company principles are centered around direct, human communication. We want to enhance the quality of life for our employees so when we hire a truck driver, we know we are hiring their family too.

We strive to grow in our industry in innovative ways so we can increase our fleet and dispatch team to better serve our customers. We want to be the first thought for local producers looking to move their product. To do that we keep our trucks in mint condition at all times, and have a maintenance team that cares for our trucks and the safety of our drivers.

Our company focus is broad yet simple, if you have something to move we can move it.
